Why stay with us?

A beautiful landscape in the middle of vineyards
Own vineyard with the production of wine and a wine cellar
A sense of home comfort
A renowned Retro Music Club

Picturesque South-Moravian landscape with hills dotted with vineyards and beautiful views of the surrounding Palava hills and the Musov Lake. The family U Kaplicky winery (winery by the Chapel) was built in the midst of all this. A calm oasis on a hill with a view of the surrounding vineyards. You can just pour yourself a glass of good wine and soak up the atmosphere of the wine region.

The U Kaplicky winery gives you the opportunity to taste one of the best wines in the Czech Republic. In both liquid form and in natural form in the time of harvest, when the grapes are collected and processed right before your eyes. Nothing will prevent you from a walk in the vineyard and trying different flavours of different varieties.

The guesthouse itself was built in 2006 and the makers of the Czech film called Bobule and its sequel, chose this place for their recording. By this the winery is engraved in memory of the Czech nation. Typical yellow buildings are scattered on the hill and the area is constantly expanding and improving its services. It is therefore not surprising that this place has become very popular for organizing romantic weddings.

The concept of the whole area is unique, especially during the harvest, guests are drawn directly into the process. The wine is processed directly in the cellars below the apartments so in the mornings you can watch tractors bringing the grapes to the press. After making an arrangement you can go through the entire production and cellars, where in barrels and stainless steel tanks the wine is preserved and ferments under control. Upon request, you can also arrange guided tasting.

Walk in the vineyards, watching the sunset over Palava, sip delicious wine whilst viewing vast vineyards, visit the wine cellar, or relax in the new wellness centre, all of this can fulfil your daily leisure time. If someone gets bored from an excessive degree of relaxation, then they can visit the famous Retro Music Club during weekend, and dance until the early hours of the morning, and even dance on the piano.

The whole complex is a world unto itself. Besides the production of wine and an extensive wine cellar, there are 100 rooms, 3 restaurants, winery, wellness centre and a new Retro Music Club. Entertainment can be found here by families with children, businessmen, athletes and couples.

Accommodation doesn´t shine with luxury, but as the name suggests, it is a guesthouse. All rooms are comfortable, equipped in either a rustic style with wooden ceilings and small windows, or in the second part of the guesthouse with modern furniture and a large supply of daylight.

All rooms and suites are spacious and up to 4 people can be accommodated in apartments. The rooms were virtually constructed so a guest has all the comfort. Most of the rooms have an outdoor space that offers comfortable seating.

The winery will not let you starve, you can either sit out in the Posledni stace restaurant, wine bar with a separate Moravian cellar, or enjoy a tasty steak at the weekend in the Retro Music Club, which opens in the evenings.

The need to relax the body hasn´t been neglected. The beautiful wellness is also newly built, where you can rent a private whirlpool bath with a bottle of wine or sparkling wine and try one of the saunas or be massaged by bubbles in the counter pool, which is beautifully illuminated with coloured lighting. What's more, you can sit down in the water bar, where bar stools are placed directly in water and you can watch TV and sip your drink.

There are also professional physiotherapist and masseur services available. Try different types of massage, the masseur massages you really thoroughly, or you can have one of relaxation wraps.

The wine is certainly one of the main reasons for a visit. Although the U Kaplicky winery doesn´t have a long tradition, but in our opinion, their wines are among the best in the Czech Republic.

There is something for everyone here, but is mainly focused on high quality wines. The number of awards that the wine has won proves it. All awards are framed and placed in rooms and common areas.

Wines are produced in several collections (e.g. Dalibor, Fresh Wine and Selection). Each collection has different characteristics. The Dalibor collection was named after the young son of the owner, who is true professional, every day from early morning he cares about making wine. It's very demanding work and with little rest time, but the result are worth it.

The Palava variety is excellent, which in recent years has increased in popularity. Its sweet taste will delight your taste buds. We cannot say which wine is the best. Everyone can choose from a wide range of flavours.

Because the wines are famous and the production is not breathtakingly large, it may happen that you cannot buy some varieties during the year because they have simply sold out. During your time here, do not hesitate to visit a local wine shop and buy a couple of bottles to stock.

The excellent wines are harmoniously complemented by a great menu, which is focused primarily on grilled meat dishes (in the Posledni stace restaurant and in the Retro Music Club) and more traditional Czech specialities in the wine bar. The meat is very well prepared, tender and perfectly suits the homemade sauces. There is plenty of food so you can make an excellent basis for an evening of drinking. Prices are also very reasonable.

For me, the winery was the perfect paradise on earth. One need not be surrounded by luxury to feel amazing.

A full day relaxing in the outdoor garden, drinking young wine, walks among the vineyards and even we have also tried part-time work in the vineyard and pick Sauvignon grapes. An excellent experience for those, who have never seen this before. You will feel good about yourself when you gave a helping hand in the production process!

The rustic beds occasionally creak, even if they are like new. But at least you know they are made from real wood.
