The Diving Village, as well as the Heritage Village is located in the Shindagha area at the mouth of the Dubai bay. Both museums are a complex of buildings and courtyards, where there are demonstrations of traditional life in the Gulf before the discovery of oil.

The Diving Village is primarily focused on the demonstration of livelihood, fishing and hunting pearls. The entire economy was built on pearl hunting.

There are also old wooden dhows that carried, and still to this day carry goods between continents.

The Department of Tourism of  the Dubai government is also located here and on the Gulf shore there are pleasant seating areas offered by outdoor restaurants overlooking the water area of ​​the bay.

Entrance to the grounds is free.
